▲ Franklin’ s celebrated its third year in the Missouri Cannabis Industry last month at its new HQ off Vine St. in Kansas City with budtenders, buyers, managers, entrepreneurs, friends, family, and customers. In photo from left to right: Mitch Alexander, manager of ReLeaf Resources Dispensary; Noah Marsh, Franklin’ s director of data and AI; Zach Smith, Altered Focus Studios’ owner; and Patrick Moore, cannabis journalist.
▲ We attended the 1st Annual Fall Fling at the VFW Post 1829 in KC, MO, on October 11, and met Christopher Crawford( CJ), a retired veteran and a home grower. He doesn’ t consume cannabis, but he passionately grows for other veterans who are MMJ patients, including his wife, Rachel Crawford, who runs Rustic Oils CBD( where we shop for infused topicals). CJ also buys his grow supplies from Emerald Garden( owner Gerry Donovan on the far right), who had a booth at the Fall Fling and has a patent on a hydroponic bucket system( shown here). It’ s the perfect starter for new home growers and retails for less than $ 150, plant included.
▲ CAMP Cannabis won the 2025 JAINE AID award, which recognizes businesses that champion diversity and inclusion in their daily operations. They received this honor while participating in We Are JAINE’ s first golf tournament in September. At the JAINE golf tournament( left to right): with his JAINE AID award is Conner Shreve, CAMP Cannabis, account executive; Lila Waier, co-president of JAINE; and Kassie Ferrero, co-president of JAINE. ▲ Last month, the Kansas City Metro underwent an artistic transformation during SpraySeeMO’ s KC Crossroads Mural Festival. Since 2017, this event has played a major role in revitalizing the city’ s urban landscape, inviting numerous artists to beautify once drab buildings and enhance the urban landscape. As of this year, over 170 wall murals have been created by 75 distinctive artists from 18 different states and five different countries. Many dispensaries around the state have wall mural art by local artists. If you’ re a KC urban area business wanting to support local and national artists, an artist wanting to get involved, or an art enthusiast wanting to tour the murals, visit www. sprayseemo. com to learn how.( Photo courtesy SpraySeeMO.)
