We must work in our communities and with our state representatives to create fair and inclusive legislation that protects the right of all Missourians to enter and be part of this industry . We need regulation that opens doors and prevents exclusion . Our constitution is meant to protect the rights of all citizens and should not be used to limit or grant rights to specific individuals . We need to work at the state and federal levels as partners in the future of this amazing industry to accomplish the great task at hand . It is up to us to see this to its full potential , but we need to stand together and build it , create it , grow it , and protect it . It is time for the hemp industry to thrive instead of survive .
With the recent changes in our state , the people who have spent the last four years working on launching industrial hemp in Missouri are united . We are gathering with one voice to combine our resources and efforts to build the association we need to represent everyone ’ s interests . It ’ s time to work with corn growers , soy growers , cattlemen , and industry leaders and bring the voice for hemp to the table . It is time for corporate leaders like Boeing , Purina , Chrysler , and many more that use hemp in their industries to join us . We need to support the development of a local and resilient supply chain . We need your support and participation as Missouri moves forward to create a dynamic and abundant hemp and cannabis economy .
Today hemp materials can and are used for everything from feed for livestock to apparel to building materials like concrete , wood flooring and many more uses .
The Missouri Hemp Trade Association is a member-supported , not-for-profit organization . We need your support to accomplish the work ahead . You can find out more about Missouri hemp , join as a member , or support with donations at www . mohemptrade . org .
