Toder ’ s views aren ’ t particularly radical . Public support for cannabis in Missouri is growing as more and more individuals are trying to break into the industry . “ Marijuana reform in Missouri has been a hotly contested topic since at least 2016 ,” The Missouri Independent reported . In 2018 , the New Approach Missouri campaign won the support of 66 % of Missouri voters to put a medical marijuana program into the state ’ s Constitution .
Once a topic shrouded in taboo and secrecy , medical cannabis is poised to go mainstream , with a little help from all of us who support or use cannabis as an alternative medicine . With emerging political champions like Spencer Toder paving the path towards progress , both patient and medical users alike will be able to inhale a little easier .
