understand that those who have been in the field since its leaner days have seen how quickly things can change on the business front . Also how much is still possible to accomplish , despite Latham sharing a similar sense of awe that Missouri ( or any Midwest state ) would ever allow the cannabis industry a seat at the commercial table in the first place .
“ Just in one year , I have seen how far cannabis has come , so I can only imagine what awaits us in the future . I ’ d hope to see more involvement with the communities around us and bring people together through cannabis that would normally never get to meet one another ,” Latham said .
She continued , “ I honestly never would have even dreamed I would get to do what I do now . And in the Midwest too !”
For anyone looking to leave their current work situation , Latham believes anyone could find something valuable to bring to — and take from the cannabis industry .
“ I would also say to do your research on the companies you want to apply for . I would also look at all sides of the cannabis industry . It ’ s not just the cultivators and budtenders that you can expect to find cannabis jobs to apply for . I was looking for budtender positions and got lucky to find the position I have now , ( but ) there are so many sides to cannabis — from the delivery drivers to the brand ambassadors .”
While the medical industry can be rewarding in its own right , it can be challenging to keep a fresh perspective and remain happy while on the clock . Since leaving the medical field and getting into medical cannabis , Latham has been happier , felt more valued , and has still been able to help a high volume of people seeking various forms of medical relief . As more new and exciting products from all corners of Missouri continue to roll out into your favorite dispensary ’ s shelves , make sure to say thank you to the supply chain managers like Eva Latham behind the curtains helping to make it all happen .
