Out & About in Missouri !

A History of The Faces of the Missouri Cannabis Industry

▲ The EVOLUTION Magazine team was there for a gathering of the teachers of true medical marijuana research that happened during Patients Out of Time at the Midland Theatre in KC in June 2022 . As more and more states go from medical to adult use , fewer of these events happen .
▲ April Hatch , RN , of the Cannabis Care Team , touring a cannabis cultivation facility in 2021 with a Highway Patrol trooper ( during COVID protocol ) to teach law enforcement about the cannabis industry and the medical benefits it can offer patients .
▲ There are some Cannabis Non-profits that are different than the rest when it comes to getting our canna convicts out of prison . The biggest difference is the dedication to speaking to them in jail as well as seeing them face-to-face as they get out . Thanks to Chris Smith and Christina Frommer of Canna Convict Project ( who continue to do this to this day ), Jeff Mizanskey and Seth Wiggington were released from prison in 2019 . Mizanskey was featured on our October 2019 cover and his story inside . Left to right : Seth Wiggington , Jeff Mizanskey , Janet ( Uplinger ) Mizanskey , Christina Frommer , and Chris Smith .
▲ Clayton Stalling , The EVOLUTION Magazine , Chris Smith , Canna Convict Project ( in front ), also known as the Missouri Cannabis Industry Photographer , working to cover the very first dispensary opening . They ’ re pictured here the night before the first legal sale at N ’ Bliss Dispensary in St . Louis . In the early days , Smith took photos , and Stallings did the interviews ; they were both always networking . Stallings said , “ The tired expression on our faces reminds us of the many long nights on road trips in the early years , sometimes several a week driving back and forth from KC to St . Louis to cover every event possible as we witnessed the new industry unfold .”
