A reusable vape pen consists of a battery and a cartridge . Reusable vape pens are really only half-reusable since you use the same pen / battery with multiple cartridges and throw away only the empty ones once you ’ ve vaporized all the oil inside . There are also one-time use disposable vape pens that contain all the same elements of the ( semi ) reusable vape pens , but they are generally smaller and all in one piece without a cart that screws on and off .
Vape batteries come in a variety of styles featuring buttons or no buttons , a cylindrical shape or rectangular one , a limited or long battery life , and the ability to recharge . One of the most common vape pen batteries is the 510-thread , which is compatible with a large portion of the pre-filled vape cartridges on the medical and adultuse markets . Vape cartridges contain a mouthpiece , chamber , and heating element activated by the vape battery . The chamber of a vape cartridge is filled with cannabis oil or distillate that typically contains concentrated amounts of cannabinoids and terpenes .
Some of the Pros of using vape pens for consumption include :
● Ease of use , portability , and price point .
● Discrete use compared to flower ( tobacco ) smoke .
Some of the Cons include :
● They are partly or entirely disposable ( wasteful ).
● They can only be used with distillates or oil cartridges , but they have general flexibility in terms of strain and concentrate selection .
