Getting through the different entries was another challenge entirely , however , and some entries were markedly worse than others . By the end of the expo , I felt like a finely baked potato , but I managed to judge all 13 entries . My hat is off to the flower judges ; they had a lot of entries to get through .

Ultimately , participating in events like Mid-Mo Canna Expo gives a great perspective on the potential cannabis offers and what the community is capable of . It ’ s also important to mention the importance these events have for the future of cannabis . With legalization still on the horizon for many , the cannabis community banding together to create mainstream , large-scale events are exactly what can bring in that future . Borland also touched on this , “ I ’ ve been going to these California Cannabis Cups since 2008-09 , and having it in a building like that , where people can come in and learn about things , is important .” Serious , organized events give the cannabis industry the dignity it deserves , and the Mid-Mo Canna Expo made a fantastic show of it .
