If we have “ Federal ” laws that forbid you to own firearms and use marijuana , why not also forbid you to use alcohol and prescription opioids ?* That might make a lot more sense , but that isn ’ t the point I ’ m trying to make . We need our federal and state 2 legislators to set uniform laws that make sense , regardless of what the law covers . It can ’ t make sense to anyone to have things continue on this path . I ’ m not talking about guns and not talking about drugs ; I ’ m talking about common sense . It ’ s worth noting that in Missouri , it is legal for marijuana users to own and carry a firearm .
By the way , any progress we were making in removing the stigma from marijuana may have just taken two steps backward .
