▲ Kansas City Cannabis ( KCC ) opened its fifth dispensary location in December near the MCI Airport . The new KC North location at 8170 NW Prairie View Rd is just west of I-29 and south of Berry Rd , and features an aviation theme with 50s and 60s retro elements blended in throughout the dispensary . Dan Nelson , CEO and co-founder of KCC , is well-known for his creative design elements , which he includes at each of the five KCC dispensary locations . Nelson ( on left ) and KCC Chief of Staff Corey Martin ( center ) recently gave MoCannTrade Executive Director Andrew Mullins ( right ) a tour of KCC ’ s newest dispensary . KCC dispensaries are locally owned , funded , and operated , with five locations ; Blue Springs , Excelsior Springs , KC North , Kearney , and Lake Lotawana .
▲ A good place to start your pheno hunt journey is with hydroponic store owners like Cantry in Belton , MO , who have developed direct lines of communication with preferred breeders and performed their own field research in the process . Watch for the Seed Day event this spring or early summer at Brad Waltrips ’ ( on left ) The Cantry with guest Justin Lehmann ( right ), a well-known breeder from Illinois . And don ’ t forget about Free Seed Day in St . Louis on March 15 ( see page 10 ).
