Announces Acquisition of Seven Dispensaries across Missouri , Bringing Total to Eleven Stores by Rocco Scarcello
Elevate Cannabis announced the acquisition of seven dispensaries across the Show-Me State in January , bringing its total number of operational dispensaries in Missouri to 11 .
Following Elevate ’ s acquisitions and a transition period , the dispensaries formerly operating as MOJO ( Nixa ) and Thrive ( Branson West and Cottleville ) have fully transitioned into Elevate-branded dispensaries . Additionally , the Bloom dispensaries operating in Cameron , Cape Girardeau , O ’ Fallon , and Springfield have been acquired by Elevate and are projecting to complete rebranding in April / May 2024 .
In doing so , more Missourians than ever now have the opportunity to shop at an Elevate dispensary .
While Elevate ’ s leadership team is excited to bring its branding , oversight , and canna-business education and experience to the aforementioned markets , the team plans to keep the current staff at each location , proving its dedication to consistency in doing so .
Elevate ’ s commitment to carrying both the same great products and the same great budtenders and staff will pay off , according to purchasing manager Zac Coombs — one of the many excellent employees Elevate will be retaining .
“ With every acquisition , Elevate has not just gained more retail space , they ’ ve also grown their teams ,” Coombs , formerly with Bloom , says . “ With every intention to retain all of the newly acquired staff , Elevate has quadrupled in size , talent , and most importantly , culture !”
After its inception as the Missouri wing of a multi-state operation based out of Colorado , a group of the company ’ s most localized investors — led by Kansas City resident and philanthropist Chuck Cuda , now Elevate Cannabis ’ CEO — took over in 2022 , cementing the group ’ s commitment to providing the finest cannabis products to Missourians while continually expanding its brand footprint .
This announcement comes on the heels of an excellent 2023 for Elevate Cannabis , which included winning two First-place and two Third-place awards in the inaugural Missouri Growers Cup , opening its first dispensary outside of the Missouri market ( Arizona ), and breaking ground on a second cultivation facility in Kansas City , expected to be completed this calendar year .
“ We ’ re not just opening doors ,” Deanna DiSalvo , Elevate ’ s Chief Brand Officer , states . “ We ’ re cultivating a deeper understanding of our mission and values with enthusiasts who share our passion .”
DiSalvo has been instrumental in lining up the rebranding efforts , dating back to Elevate ’ s first dispensary acquisition in July 2023 , bringing an Elevate dispensary to St . Louis for the first time .
“ It ’ s been a thrill to journey across the state and expand our retail footprint in new areas ,” DiSalvo says . “ Each new store is an opportunity to share our commitment to quality , education , and community , ultimately amplifying our brand awareness .”
Among the most important focuses of Elevate Cannabis ’ brand and mission , its commitment to cannabis education and cultural destigmatization are put on full display upon walking into any of its dispensaries .
This dedication to understanding and education can be further evidenced by visiting its revamped website : www . ElevateCannabis . com . There , you will find information on every Elevate strain , as well as information on cannabis as a whole and how it can elevate your life .
New and longtime patients alike will benefit tremendously from the “ Cannabis 101 ” and “ Getting Started ” subgroups under the “ New to Cannabis ” tab on the website , while information on the revamped Elevate rewards program rollout can also be found on the website .
While 2023 was an excellent year for Elevate Cannabis as it further cemented its position as an industry leader , 2024 has started off with a boom as well — a tell-tale sign that another tremendous year is popping up through the soil as we speak .
“ I am excited to be part of a local , KC-based cannabis company that has truly dug in its roots all across the state ,” Coombs says , sharing a common belief and practice of Elevate Cannabis employees company-wide . “ I look forward to continuing to bridge the gap between retail and the many vendors of the state , to focus on our budtenders , the rec-consumers , and patients alike !”
