said was , “ Okay , let do this ,” and everything else just kind of fell into place , so we started building the team .
Q : We spoke about how impressed I was with your hands-on approach to doing the construction and remodeling on your dispensaries yourself . Could you go into more detail about how your process experience was from winning your licenses up until now ?
A : It ’ s been crazy , but one of the things I ’ m most proud of is my team . We all have a lot of skills and like hands-on involvement in all phases of the project — none of us are afraid of getting a little dirty . We knew that would be essential for our grassroots approach if we won licenses . We are doing as much as we can , where we can . That even included a few people on the team learning a new skill , just to help , like tiling the floor at our Festus location ( I never want to do that again ). We have also done all our own demo work , which was a huge project at our University location . It was a two-month process with many late nights ripping up multiple layers of tile on the flooring , ripping out old electric that wasn ’ t done properly , and even digging out a six-foot hole to replace the old , crumbling plumbing — just to name a few things .

Q : Is there any thoughts that you would like to leave with our readers ?
A : Just that I couldn ’ t have done this without my friends , family , my cannabis family , and my husband supporting me along the way . My team and I are really excited to be a part of this new Missouri industry . We really are one of the few underdogs that won licenses , and we really are deeply patient-focused . I know when Missouri patients see some of the programs and discounts that we are offering people with conditions like cancer , they ’ ll know our focus is patients over profit .
I think it ’ s very important for patients to remember as they explore the potential benefits of medical cannabis .
