Such help from the cannabis industry , facilities , and patient volunteers is the first step forward to help bridge the gap . Also , both the OXG LLC cultivation facility and From the Earth dispensary will be giving officers enrolled in this training tours of its facilities as part of officer education . The tours will allow officers to ask questions and learn more about legalized medical cannabis from cannabis experts . This joint training is Missouri ’ s chance to lead the USA by example and show other states how law enforcement and the cannabis industry can learn from one another and build healthy , long-lasting relationships , which has not been offered or possible until now .

Extract-ED is currently looking for future support from the industry . “ This training course is costly to provide . Thankfully , we secured sponsorship for the first one ,” said Hutton . “ We welcome any funding support and sponsorships for future training . We also need help from facilities that will allow officer tours of their facilities . There is no cost to the facility . These tours are needed for the education of officers about the industry . By participating , dispensaries and cultivators will also help protect your medical cannabis patients ’ rights and help bridge the gap by building relationships with your local police departments .
Since its launch , Extract-ED has provided training to thousands of students from around the United States . Its current focus is to educate Missouri law enforcement about the new legal status of medical cannabis .
