Consumption Lounges
What Are They All About ? by Danielle Buntyon , contributing writer at SACNT
The term cannabis lounge refers to public establishments where people are allowed to smoke cannabis . A cannabis cafe , or cannabis club , is an establishment where visitors can consume their cannabis alone or with others as well as purchase some cannabis products . In addition to providing a safe environment for people to smoke or vape cannabis products , they also offer a social environment where people can enjoy a social cannabis experience . The creation of cannabis consumption lounges has become a hotspot for cannabis tourism , particularly in areas that prohibit public smoking . It is because they provide tourists with a safe and relaxing environment in which they can enjoy their favorite herb in a relaxed and comfortable way .
It is imperative to remember that the services available to customers will vary depending on the type of consumption lounge they are inside . Cannabis cafes often serve food as well as non-alcoholic beverages , while others are devoted to selling products containing THC . Still , others are simply places where consumers may consume cannabis without providing any other services beyond providing a place for people to consume cannabis and nothing more . Also , cannabis lounges can function as a dispensary , so they can serve as a means of obtaining cannabis . To achieve this , they offer their guests a wide array of cannabis products they can choose from while in the lounge . The legal operating framework for these establishments determines what can and cannot be sold in a cannabis lounge in each state . Let us take a closer look at some of the locations and what they have to offer .
