“ I have used cannabis since a young age . This is God ’ s plant ,” Hayward said . “ Cannabis was originally outlawed in sports because it is beneficial to muscular repair , response time , and overall cognitive function , just to list a few .”

Hayward continued , “ Athletes can kill their livers and kidneys with pills for anxiety , sleep , studying , etc ., but they can ’ t smoke cannabis , which is natural and now being pharmaceutically engineered — why not ?”
