A Perfect Partnership

Two Missouri cannabis companies , Flora Farms and Bison Infused , form a strategic partnership .

Who doesn ’ t love a good partnership ? Peanut butter and jelly , Batman and Robin , salt and pepper — none of these things would be nearly as good on their own . That same philosophy is behind the recent merger of Flora Farms and Bison Infused . The two companies officially joined forces in February 2024 , and exciting things are in the works .

A partnership is at its best when each party complements the other , and that ’ s the reason Flora Farms and Bison Infused have merged . According to Mark Hendren , president of Flora Farms , “ We ’ ve been wanting to get into the edible game for a while , and Bison does a great job with its gummies and chocolates .”
In fact , Flora Farms began conducting research and development on a line of edibles and chocolates in the fall of 2023 . However , when the opportunity arose to merge with Bison Infused , Flora Farms saw a way to expedite its entrance into the edibles market . Why start from scratch when you can partner with a company that has a proven track record with edibles and brand recognition ?
says Campbell , CEO and co-founder of Bison Infused . “ We believe this new partnership will drive innovation and growth by leveraging shared resources and expertise in cannabis manufacturing .”
Whereas Bison Infused brings expertise in edibles , Flora Farms has made a name for itself as a cultivator . “ Flora Farms is one of the largest cannabis cultivators in the state ,” says Hendren ( on left ). Additionally , Flora Farms grows the largest variety of cannabis strains in Missouri . On average , Flora Farms produces over 70 different strains of cannabis . Flora Farms ’ growing capabilities will further enable Bison Infused to excel in the edibles and manufactured product market . Alternatively , Bison ’ s experience and proficiency in manufacturing will help elevate Flora Farms ’ manufactured products . Like peanut butter and jelly –– it ’ s a win-win partnership !
Bison Infused was founded in 2021 in Elkland , MO , by Matt Campbell ( on left ) and John Lopez . Lopez will be a silent partner while he explores new opportunities in the New Jersey cannabis market . Campbell will remain involved with the company and spearhead Flora Farms ’ manufacturing operations . “ We ’ re excited to bring on Matthew ,” says Hendren . “ It will be a huge benefit to the team to have someone with solid experience in manufactured products .”
Bison Infused has historically produced a wide range of manufactured cannabis products under three brands : Zen Cannabis , Johnny ’ s Choice , and Bison Marijuana . “ Bison excels in the production of edible products , including gummies and chocolates , and is also a leader in pre-roll production ,”
