With anticipation for the opening of Smokey River Entertainment District , a field will be turned into a giant party three times in 2023 , starting with the biggest 420 Fest in the Kansas City area on April 20 . The party starts at 3 p . m . and the big show starts at 6 p . m . The festival-style setup for the 2023 season will feature a stage production , food trucks , concessions , national and local talent , and a Canna Village . Think — Rockfest , Rocklahoma , Lollapalooza , or even Coachella .
The 420 Fest promises to be a unique experience for music and cannabis enthusiasts alike . The festival will be headlined by multi-platinum selling , GRAMMY , and Golden Globe-nominated artist Wiz Khalifa , with a lineup that includes Joey Bada $$, Berner , Smoke DZA , and Chevy Woods .
Following the big 420 Fest , there will be another big festival around the 4th of July ( date TBD ), and finally , a late September event .
The Canna Village will run alongside the festival grounds and celebrate the end of Missouri prohibition . You will be able to enjoy and interact with your favorite brands , consume , and BE FREE ! It ’ s a celebration ! The Village will feature , vendors , art , games , food , music , and VIP areas , and most importantly , attendees will be able to enjoy their favorite music while indulging in their favorite strains . Concertgoers will be able to consume , AND you will also be able to order delivery to a designated pick-up site inside The Canna Village . Abiding by State Law
Besa Hospitality Group ( BHG ) President Joey Pintozzi assures that the festival will abide by state law , which prevents alcohol and marijuana from being used in the same place . The Cannabis Village will only allow people 21 and older inside , and there will be strict controls in place to ensure that these limits are respected .
“ It ’ s very controlled ,” says Pintozzi . “ You can free flow back and forth freely . You just can ’ t drink in the designated cannabis consumption areas , and vice versa with the alcohol .”
