New Product Picks of the Month

As a budtender at a Kansas City dispensary , the most common question I receive from my patients is , “ How do I go about finding what product is best for the ailments I am trying to treat ?” Luckily , for those who are medical marijuana patients here in Missouri , the THC options are expanding quickly . Not only are the product options broadening , but the prices are declining as we move forward with the Missouri marijuana movement .
One of my favorite things about working at From The Earth ( FTE ) as a budtender is having the opportunity to continuously learn about the wide variety of products we sell at our stores . FTE is passionate about teaching its employees all there is to know about cannabis and its medicinal properties . Each dispensary location offers educational fliers for patients , terpene profile information , and constant updates to online menus . Throughout the last six months of budtending , I have kept a journal with a list of some of my favorite THC products I ’ ve tried .
I am twenty-five and come from a long line of family members that have struggled with Lupus , Psoriatic Arthritis , and Rheumatoid Arthritis . A collection of symptoms from these auto-immune diseases started to appear for me around the age of thirteen . I have been looking for natural relief from these ailments for years now , so last fall I decided to become an MMJ patient and take advantage of what Missouri Medical Cannabis offers . Concentrates
RSO or FECO ( also known as Rick Simpson Oil and Full Extract Cannabis Oil )

Vivid offers an Indica Full Extract Cannabis Oil ( FECO ) or RSO that ’ s been my go-to for months now . FECO is a thick full extract oil made by submerging the entire cannabis plant in a solvent like grain alcohol . Once the grain alcohol is drained and evaporated , you are left with a thick potent cannabis oil . Since the effects of FECO can be fairly potent more often than not , I chose to take my dose at night , right before I get settled in for bed . This makes Vivid FECO perfect for my routine since it is indica based . I usually recommend FECO for my patients with more severe conditions that require higher THC but
still need the medicinal benefits from the rest of the cannabis plant . This oil is extremely potent , containing around 700mg ( or more ) of THC per syringe . The recommended starting dose is about half the size of a grain of rice , and I find this amount to be just right . Arthritis is known for its morning stiffness and aches , but Vivid ’ s FECO seems to do the best job at fighting this . Tinctures
Care By Design 1:1 Tincture ( CBD : THC )
Tinctures are my go-to for aiding in high-stress times . The ratios of CBD to THC with Care By Design tinctures vary , but based on your THC tolerance , you can gauge which CBD to THC ratio is best for you . The 1:1 ratio is recommended for patients with a higher THC tolerance but who still need the therapeutic benefits from the full spectrum CBD . Tinctures are designed to be taken sublingually , so they are placed under the tongue and absorbed . Care By Design droppers have dosages clearly marked so you know exactly how much you consume . Tinctures tend to set on quickly but also taper off quicker than some of the other THC products , which is why this product works great when my anxiety starts and offers the best results for me . Working as a budtender has taught me about all the different ways edibles are made . Most chocolates , drinks , and gummies are made with distillate . Distillate is the rawest form of THC available , but it lacks the therapeutic benefits that you get from the whole plant ’ s ( flower ) cannabinoids .
