The European Schools Newspaper, Issue No 2, 47th Primary School of Piraeus School trip to the Greek Parliament The Greek Parliament is the most beautiful place in Athens. It is in the centre of Athens. It is big with red carpets and the building is made of marble. While walking through the building, you see different rooms with computers and books. Afterwards, you get inside the Parliament Hall and there are a lot of seats where the parties meet. Outside the building there are 2 men in traditional uniforms guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier! Healthy food The most important thing that you should remember is to eat healthily. In our school there is a program which helps children with their nutrition. If you prefer to taste our foods, you can eat: yoghurt with honey, toast with cheese and cucumber, sandwich with chicken and tomato, wholegrain cookies and fruit. You may eat spinach pie or if you are thirsty, you may drink milk, too. The food is free and we get it every day. This is our school playground, where we enjoy our healthy snacks! School Newspapers We also publish a handwritten newspaper in Greek which we sell around the school for charity purposes. Each year the English classes produce an online newspaper, “The English Voice”. For more information read the next issue. You may visit our school blog: http://47dimpeir.blogspot.gr 4
