Pictured is the shadow of Sandy Stagg’s legs and high heels—Stagg was a model and one of General Idea’s muses—projected onto the
Venetian blinds. The shoe modeled by Stagg soon became an iconic motif in General Idea’s oeuvre. The shoe appeared in many photo-
graphs and was referred to as The Miss General Idea Shoe. The photograph was included in the recent exhibition General Idea Photo-
graphs: 1969-1982, MAMCO, Geneva (May 31 – September 10, 2017)
