Cheshire Jailbreak
The first Cheshire Jail break on the 26th
of July went fantastically well with teams
travelling all over the country to raise
money for the Genesis Research Trust
challenger Zoe Atherton and Juliette
Hassell. We smashed our £6000 target
making £6308 in ten hours.
Our team from Innex designs, who also
sponsored the event, raised a massive
£1240 during their ten hours winning
themselves a widescreen tv and tweeted
pictures of themselves all around the
northwest reaching Manchester United,
Manchester City and Liverpool football
clubs and even got a selfie with the
Liverpool Giants.
Keith Jones aka Team Hilts arrived back
bang on 8pm by motorbike having
reached Inverness in a biplane earlier
and tackled the traffic commandeering
a truck at one point, to cover over 800
miles in ten hours winning the longest
distance prize.
Girls Too Loud team dressed in their
neon fancy dress won tickets to the Big
reunion, by bringing us back a Blackpool
sandcastle from the beach, and arrived
back to The Black Swan on 4 Hells
Angels motorbikes. Duo team Go Loud
Or Go Home arrived back running across
fields in their orange jumpsuits, having
spent their day at Barton aerodrome and
managed to talk their way up in planes and
helicopters,
winning

Cheshire
Jail break
was a great
success and
all competitors had a great time going
to some brilliantly inventive lengths
to cover their distances. The team from
Mojo’s Childcare wowed the crowds at
the Black swan by arriving home in a
helicopter. Sponsors Awesome Ltd spent
their 10 hours with their motors on
rolling roads and also raised over £370 to
celebrate their 25th birthday.
The Jailbreak party ran on till late at
The Black Swan with BBQs, Hog roasts,
bouncy castles and music from four great
bands on the Wire FM stage, whilst raffles
and auctions took place to get us to our
final fantastic amount.
Stuart Wraith GM of The Black Swan and
host said, ‘When we were approached to
run a charity event for Genesis research
trust and the girls, Zoe and Juliette, we
wondered what can we do that would be
different and get people thinking about
the cause. We had no idea it would turn
into such a big and successful event
and that’s all down to the support we
have had here today and from all our
sponsor partners over the last few weeks,
without them we couldn’t have made
this possible.’
Above all we smashed the girls targets
getting them to their £6000 target
for the Genesis research trust Charity
