Culcheth Trefoil Guild
March was an exciting month for
the Trefoil Guild. This was when we
launched our taster sessions for ladies to
come along and enjoy different activities
with us. We started with learning how
to crochet a square at the Black Sheep;
this was followed by a Jewellery evening
with Debbie Hadfield explaining what
she uses to make her unique pieces
and where she gets her ideas from.
Martin from Studiofivefour came along
and talked about how to take the best
pictures. He helped those present to
understand the settings on cameras
and phone cameras which had been a
mystery before. The different cosmetic
items were discussed at a Bodyshop Party
and Greta demonstrated how to apply
makeup by doing a mini makeover. Lynn
from The Cloth Shop brought along a
wide selection of items which could be
used in various crafts as well as showing
what can be achieved with some finished
articles. We joined Culcheth District
Girlguiding to support the Sports Relief
event at Culcheth Community Primary
School on a very cold Sunday morning.
Finally we held a Quiz evening at the
Village Club with a lovely buffet supplied
by Warren. This was a successful event
with a good time had by those present
and it also raised £48 for our funds.
We would like to thank all our speakers
for giving their time to help our Trefoil
Guild and for making these sessions so
enjoyable.

There are more interesting sessions being
planned. We have our monthly afternoon
meeting on the first Tuesday in the month
(except August) in the Methodist Church
Hall. There is also an evening meeting on
different days during the third week of
each month. We invite anyone, whether
they have been involved in Guiding or
not, to come along and join in the fun.
