Cllr Jacquie Johnson, chair of Culcheth
& Glazebury Parich Council, officially
opened the youth shelter on the
Common in Culcheth on the 24th April.
Representatives of the main funders
were also present and this included
iGas, Warrington Charities Trust &
the East Warrington Neighbourhood
Board. Culcheth Educational Trust also
contributed funds to the project. A group
of partners have worked together over
the last two years to secure funds for the
project after carrying out a consultation
with young people and local residents in
the area. Particular thanks go to Daphne
Eastburn who was the main fund rasier
for the group. Other partners included
Cheshire Police, WarringtonBorough
Council, Paul Taylor, Culcheth &
Glazebury Parish Council, Culcheth
Methodist Church and local borough
councillors.
