not only a desk top but also a laptop
which we have never had. The lap top
will be used by all the trained staff to take
into out into the community in order
to reach more house bound visually
impaired. This will help them feeling
less isolated and will help keep people’s
independence.

“The program is called Guide and features
a wide range of aids many visually
im-paired people to make full use of
the computers. These include human
sounding voices that read everything,
magnify the screen as well as high
contrast colour to suit the individual.

celebrate their 100 year birthday!
Brownies round the country are
celebrating in different ways.
At the end of

celebrated
with
a ‘Big Brownie
Birthday Stay Away’
at Pettpool Lodge,
near
Sandiway.
Whilst there they
had the opportunity

help cook meals and lots more! The
weekend ended with a special birthday
lunch as each Brownie and Guide invited
their family to share a meal before they
returned home - after washing up again!
