COOL IT DOWN
Insight
Old cars overheat. That’ s what many of us have come to expect. But Aaron Radiator knows that, with upgraded cores, original classic car radiators can be more than up to the task of keeping temperatures down
Since the Sixties, many classic cars have had problems overheating in modern and busy road conditions. The main problem is the efficiency of the original radiator and fan system. Up until the Seventies, most classic car radiators used a Cellular Film core. This is very robust and durable; many cars still have the original film cores even though they may be over 50 years old. The issue is that it’ s not a particularly efficient design.
Even relatively new radiators, like those with plastic tanks, need to be copied and remade in alloy
