When setting up on his own, despite being from England, Julian remained in Belgium.‘ I don’ t care where I am in the world, I just go with the flow. And it just happened to work out very well here. HCS has gained a reputation with Lagondas, but the world of pre-War cars doesn’ t allow you to be too
specialised. It’ s not so much because there’ s a smaller market, but it’ s because it does require a different approach.‘ Predominantly Lagondas, but I know Rileys very well. Then people said,“ Can you do my eight-cylinder Grand Prix Maserati engine?” Now I’ ve done four out of the six Tipo 26 Maserati Grand Prix engines.’
HCS is best know for working on Lagondas, but if you’ re skilled and equipped to work with older engines, you become a pre-War car specialist
