Raphaël Caillé, the Managing Director of Swindon Powertrain, didn’ t create fourvalve heads for a Porsche flat-six to meet a power target, a torque goal or to make the engine more efficient. The main purpose of the new heads?‘ It’ s RPM. Because RPM helps with emotion.’
These new heads, and the valvetrain to make them work, started as a project between Swindon Engineering and a UK Porsche specialist. One that was a long time coming, as its attitude to high-quality engineering was the same as Raphaël’ s and Swindon Powertrain.
