Morris Lubricants Versimax HD15 5W-30 diesel engine oil
n Diesel truck engines are becoming more and more sophisticated as manufacturers make improvements in fuel efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions. So, heavy-duty engine oils have to develop at the same rate. Morris Lubricants’ latest addition to its Versimax range for HGV diesel engines is the HD15 5W-30.
It’ s a more complex oil, with viscosity levels similar to those seen in passenger car engine oil. It’ s been designed for use in 13-litre Euro VI Step D engines by maximising fuel efficiency potential by producing a thin, strong oil film whilst under load, which in turn reduces energy losses. It has been approved by Volvo for use in its VDS-5 engine, a testing regime that took two years and included a crosssection of Volvo vehicles undertaking duties from long haul to couriers. Only when all the critical parameters were robustly met did Volvo Truck approve and validate this precise formulation.

n A torque wrench that clicks once you’ ve applied the required torque is nothing new. In fact, the audible and tactile sensation of a torque wrench that clicks has, arguably, never been beaten. Wera’ s range of torque wrenches, named Click-Torque, take the familiar clicking action and apply it not just when tightening, but also when selecting the desired torque.
The handle of Wera’ s Click-Torque wrenches twist to allow you to select the torque you’ d like to apply, and is shown on the two scales on the tool. The main scale shows a broader Nm range, and the secondary scale, the fine one, allows you to set the exact torque. When twisting the handle, every new increment on
the fine scale is met with a click so you can accurately set the required torque.
The entire Click-Torque range comprises 33 different wrenches. They come in a variety of torque ranges and different ways to switch from clockwise to anti-clockwise tightening.

n There are practical and safety reasons for Ingersoll Rand’ s new range of highvisibility air-line impact guns, but the new vibrant red, orange and green wrenches also look very fetching.
Beneath the day-glow plastic, the impact wrenches have all the same features as the standard 2236QTiMAX tool. They’ re small, at less than 190mm long. They have Ingersoll Rand’ s patented Drive Xchange System( DXS) that uses a spline-type socket to accommodate 10 different interchangeable drives. And, they can deliver 2033Nm of breakaway torque.
