Elring LiqRep adhesives
n Elring is known for its original equipment quality gaskets and seals. But the correct gasket, no matter how great it might be, won’ t work on a cracked or broken component. So it makes perfect sense for Elring to also supply adhesives to repair damaged plastic or metal parts.
LepRep Metal is a two-component epoxy resin-based adhesive designed to bond to iron, steel, cast iron and aluminium. It is not just impact-resistant but also immune to UV, weathering, ageing, water, salt water, coolant, oil and many chemicals.
Like the metal version, LipRep Plastic is also a two-component product, but is polyurethane-based. It can be used for structural and cosmetic repairs on plastic and rubber, and it is fast-curing, high-strength and resistant to various chemicals and environmental influences.
Mahle RemotePRO
n Modern cars often need computers and diagnostic tools to get them to run after major work. Finding the right equipment usually means finding the tool that can speak to as many cars as possible. Mahle’ s RemotePRO covers more manufacturers than any of its competitors. It works as a supplementary tool with either the universal diagnostic tool TechPRO from MAHLE or Connex from Brain Bee.
RemotePRO gives independent garages the same range of functions as branded workshops, even on vehicles that are very rare or difficult to diagnose. This includes reading and erasing the fault memory, calibration, programming and maintenance of various systems. It can teach vehicle keys and diagnose atypical and exotic faults.

n What professional engine builder is going to want to go home and then build another engine? Well, Toyan’ s cute little four-cylinder motor might change your mind and encourage you to take that bus man’ s holiday. This all-metal inline-four, complete with fantastic inlet trumpets, has a capacity of just 14cc, measures less than 115mm in length, makes a little over 3hp and can rev to 13,500rpm. Tiny, yes, but huge fun.
