OIL FEED PIPE TECHNICAL ADVICE

The oil feed pipe’ s function is to lubricate the turbo’ s shaft, and the main cause of turbocharger failure is due to poor lubrication.
ASSEMBLY INFORMATION 1. Verification. Check with the label that the reference of the oil feed pipe is linked to the vehicle model. The Ajusa oil feed pipe labels also include information about the turbo fittin its
Experts recommend, to prevent future turbocharger failures, to replace the oil feed pipe every time a turbocharger is assembled. In this way, you ensure not only a pipe without obstructions but connections in perfect condition.
2. Lubrication. Before installation, lubricate the turbocharger inlet with a small amount of oil to protect the turbocharger and prevent it from turning dry after the first start he lac of lubrication before installation of the oil feed pipe can cause damage to the turboshaft.
3. Fixation. Install the oil feed pipe without forcing. Fix the pipe and the brackets, these parts are used to prevent vibrations in the pipe.
4. Tighten. Apply correct torque at both ends following the manufacturer’ s manual. Z

CORE-FREE STARTER MOTORS FROM WAI

Parts Alliance has introduced a‘ core-free’ range of starter motors and alternators from WAI. Initially consisting of 93 popular part numbers, the new references will cover 65 per cent of the vehicle parc.
he corefree rane simlifies the maret, remoin surcharges and the requirement for garages to return the old unit he new rane also brins about efficiencies in the handling of warranties and credits for independent garages, as well as saving time going online to register their surcharge and core araes simly urchase, fit and then moe onto their next job.
The new core-free policy also allows Parts Alliance branches to efficiently increase its rotatin electrics rane and, oer the next six months, more part numbers will be added to cover a wider vehicle parc. If a customer requires a part number that’ s not stocked in branch, it can still be supplied using WAI’ s next day delivery service.
All starter motors and alternators in the range are 100 per cent new, fully tested to meet secifications and come with a three-year warranty.
Andy Wilson, Parts Alliance Product Marketing Executive, said:‘ The rotating electrics market has evolved and we recognise the requirement from customers for a core-free policy, which will allow garages to focus on other areas of the business.’
All products in WAI’ s 2700-strong rotating electrics range
undergo stringent validation processes and are triple-tested as they are checked during manufacture, after manufacture and, once they arrive at WAI’ s headquarters.
These tests involve salt and temperature testing to enhance corrosion resistance, as well as validation testing, including endurance, humidity, power thermal cycling, vibration and thermal shock.
Poor quality starters and alternators can result in serious consequences for a vehicle’ s engine, leading to expensive repair bills and therefore it is recommended to opt for a proven roduct first time round to aoid reater costs in the lon run
With WAI, a full technical support service that provides comrehensie adice on fittin rocedures and inserice issues is available as standard when ordering each part. www. thepartsalliance. com
