What is something that you are most proud of?
Defying stereotypes and damaging norms about first generation Latinxs! I am
proud that my college experience hasn't been traditional--community college,
transferring, balancing work, studies, involvement, and graduating in my fifth
year! I am proud that I've defied and made space of myself--hopefully for others
too--in college..
Future Plans & Goals
In the future, I will be applying to graduate programs in either Clinical Counseling
or Public Health in efforts to achieve my dreams of an interdisciplinary academic
and professional career that connects health, policy, equity, cultural competence,
community empowerment, and various related fields to enhance my ability to help
under served families and communities lead healthier and sustainable lives. I also
hope to write a book or a toolkit for young people on empathy and emotional
wellness!
