I am a first-generation Latina
college graduate from Portland,
Oregon. I was born in Los
Angeles, however, I was raised in
the city of roses. I am a proud
daughter of immigrants who
instilled in me the importance of
education and continue to be my
biggest inspiration. My college
experience would not have been
made possible without the Ford
Family Foundation who believed
in me when I didn't. As a firstyear
student, I began working at
the Centro Cultural César Chávez
and continued to be a part of this
community until my last day of
my undergrad.
My college experiences have brought
me my post-grad opportunities and I
am now currently interning at
Emerging Leaders PDX as their ELI
administrative and operations intern.
In the Fall, I will be starting my role
with College Possible as a Flagship
High School Coach helping students
with their college process.
