Aibhlin Alexis Esparza Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering What is something that you are most proud of? I am most proud of becoming the first woman engineer in my family. It wasn't easy getting here, but with hard work and the support of my friends and family, I was able to accomplish this. Aibhlin's Words of Wisdom: Be honest at all times; even if it hurts. So many fights, confusion, or misunderstandings could be avoided if you talk from the heart and truly listen to the other side of things. I learned this lesson very well in both KDChi and during college. Also, there is beauty in the struggle. Things will always be challenging; life is so hard. But keep moving forward. You'll learn so much about yourself in the process and you will come out stronger. You got this! Future Plans & Goals: I will be going on to graduate school to obtain my Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. I hope to work part-time at a biomedical device company while going to school to gain work experience and industry exposure. With this, I hope to continue growing my leadership skills in KDChi and the workplace. I also hope to go on more hikes and explore nature! 1 6
