Emiliee M. Encizo
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
What is something that you are most proud of?
I am most proud that I was able to make it to graduation. Coming from a single parent
and single income family made me worry that college was not going to be an option. I
was lucky enough to receive scholarships that allowed me to not only attend college,
but to complete college and earn a degree.
Emiliee's Words of Wisdom: When times get hard and you fail a class or struggle with
an assignment, don’t give up. Remind yourself who you are doing this for. Who you are
working so hard to get this degree for. For me, I was getting my degree not just for
myself, but for my family. As a first-generation student, I wanted to get my degree to
set an example for my little sister and cousin. I wanted them to be able to have
someone to look up to. I wanted to be able to help them when it comes time for them to
apply to colleges. I did this for my family.
Future Plans & Goals: I plan to apply to law school and become a criminal lawyer. I also
want to open my own form one day in the future.
