Programming at Mary’s Center has been so successful with the graduate chapter, they were asked to return for the upcoming year!

The KDChi D.C. | Maryland | Virginia Graduate Chapter is actively involed with philanthropic events in its area, such as:

Discussion with Justice Sonia Sotomayor and Rita Moreno on Latinas and our future. Sisters assisted with registration and distributed books at an event with more than 700 attendees.

Career Panel for Build.org. sisters promoted business, science and mathematics- based career interest, as part of a speaking panel.

Latino Leaders Luncheon series. Sisters assisted in event coordination and registration of a 200-people event to share stories of administration officials of color.

NALFO’s Mid Atlantic Servathon, "Healthy Kids Day" at the YMCA. Sisters joined other NALFO groups to promote healthy activity and led children's activities such as soccer referee’ing, hula hoop contests, animal petting zoos and grass hockey.

Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI), “Celebrating an American Dream.” Sisters helped with event set-up and general assistance.

Latinas Leading Tomorrow 5K Run/Walk. Sisters helped with registration, hosted children's games, took bibs for times and handed out water and snacks to those who ran. Some of the sisters also ran to raise money for Latina youth.

KDChi’s hosted a body image workshop for pregnant or single mother HS students

Beautification day for D.C. Public Schools. Sisters cleared trash and graffiti.

Partnered with National Park Service for an International Coastal Day Cleanup

Joined forces for the NALFO’s Day of Service

Mentored or sat on panels for CHCI's Ready to Lead High School Program, encouraging students to go to college and explore a field of study.
