PENguin Pals 2016-2017: This program was born from the belief that it is extremely important for young girls to have role models that 'look' like them especially in low income/minority based communities. As mentors, we hope to serve as inspiration to these young girls and assist them to understand that their current situation or societal stereotypes are not definitive factors of what their futures will be. #kdchi #dallaskdchi #serviceiswhatwedo #whymccombs @utexasmba #changetheworld

Alumnae Corner

Hello my gorgeous and powerful sisters! My name is Ucha Abbah and I am currently a Masters candidate in Urban and Environmental Planning at the University of Virginia. If you are reading this you either are in college or went to college and I don’t need to remind you that it often feels like it’s all uphill. Some of you will get to the top of the hill and climb down to wonderful jobs, husbands, wives, and animals. Others of us climb down only to see another mountain in the way, graduate school. While I am not an expert I hope these next few months I can put together a picture of my experience. So, what better way to start than retrospectively!
