Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Sparkle Ladawn Plummer
has always had an urge to write. She wrote her very first
poem at the age of five. She received trophies and awards
for many of her short stories and poems beginning in
elementary all the way through college. She has always
loved writing because she could easily express her feelings
and creativity through pen and paper.
In her early twenties, Sparkle took a break from writing to
step into the spotlight of the camera. She made a name
for herself in the modeling industry, but said her passion
was always to write. She attended college at West Virginia
University, Point Park University, and is currently finishing
her degree for a Bachelor of the Arts in English at the
