Enroll in our district
If you’ re new to the district, be sure to enroll before the start of school! Learn how at garlandisd. net / enroll.
Update your contact information
Log in to Skyward Family Access and update emergency contacts, phone numbers, and email addresses. See garlandisd. net / skyward for help accessing your account.
Complete the Back-to-School forms
Submit the required Back-to-School forms in Skyward starting on July 27. Secondary students who complete them before Aug. 4 can view their schedules early. Learn more about the forms at garlandisd. net / backtoschoolforms.
Finalize transportation plans
Your school will have instructions for drop-off and pick-up procedures. Bus route information will be available in Skyward starting on August 3. Download the StopFinder App to track the bus and see route details. Visit garlandisd. net / bus for more information about riding the bus.
Make plans for meals
GISD uses SchoolCafe for meal payments, menus, and free & reduced price meal applications. Check out SchoolCafe at schoolcafe. com / garlandisd or visit garlandisd. net / schoolmeals.

Buy school supplies
View a general list of supplies and links to your campus list on garlandisd. net / schoolsupplies. High school students have a supply list this year. Check with your teacher for specifics and take advantage of the sales tax holiday on Aug. 7-9!

Set routines and goals
Help the start of school go smoothly by discussing bedtimes, homework, mornings, and setting goals for the new year. Make one of those goals attendance!
Get involved in your student’ s community
Help your student succeed by meeting your school’ s staff and families as well as finding opportunities to get connected. Volunteering in programs like the PTA gets you active in your student’ s learning. Contact your campus to sign up.
