The North Garland HOSA Senior “ Dream Team ” competed in the International Leadership Conference and won 1st place in the WORLD , competing against 40 + states and 6 countries including Canada , USA , Mexico , and China .
GISD Student Nutrition Services served a total of 81,304 meals this summer ! This represents a 126 % increase from Summer 2023 . We achieved this growth through our six new community meal sites and the SUN Meals To-Go program authorized by the USDA .

Broadway Dallas hosted their 2023-2024 High School Musical Theatre Awards , and GISD shined ! Rowlett High School won Outstanding Musical for SIX : The Musical . Additionally , Denali Ramos from LCHS was recognized as Outstanding Featured Performer , and Francine Parcero from Rowlett HS received the Broadway Dallas Spirit Award .
The El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame has inducted Garland ISD Assistant Director of Athletics , Mike Williams . This honor recognizes his outstanding career as a high school baseball and football coach , and his lasting impact on the sports community .
