On that note we are also shining a light on a very unique local artisan and her business called A Mother’s Blessed Keepsakes. Monique Castonguay has been crafting beautiful keepsakes and breastmilk jewelry for her clients for years, having developed her own special preservation process. A former doula, she found a common desire among people she met to have something tangible to remember by. Whether a lost pet or miscarried child, keepsakes can be a powerful healing tool and a beautiful, very personal way to remember. Recognizing this need Castonguay applied her unique skillset, and A Mother’s Blessed Keepsakes was born. The Muse’s Ron Palmer did a photo shoot earlier this year featuring Monique’s latest collection, modelled by the lovely Maxine Fehr. We have a few of her exquisite pieces shown here for you. But definitely do check out her website, between options and her creative talents - if you can dream it then she can create it for you! What an awesome and truly different gift for that special someone on your list this holiday season.
