As you can see from the example, using FPS lets you take a basic idea, refine it for
presentation, then have the entire team add onto it in unexpected ways. My muse word of
“Spoon” took me to a final idea of eating while playing an instrument. Then the team added
more specifics to show they understood my idea and added new information to heighten it
further. How you choose to support an idea depends on how the idea was communicated and
what inspiration you took from it.
One final point to remember is that when you’re coming up with ideas you have to allow
yourself the freedom to fail. Don’t be afraid of how things may come out. Simply by saying yes
to ideas and subsequent opportunities that present themselves, you can unlock the nearly
unlimited potential of your imagination.
