This blistering fast, fiercely fun trio puts the psycho in psycho-billy... Yes, it's the Gutter Demons. These guys are from Montreal and on tour through western Canada and the U.S., pairing up with one of Edmontons' favorite bands for their latest CD release party, The Raygun Cowboys.

The Gutter Demons are nothing short of awesome. Even though psycho-billy has it's own subculture, these guys still have their own identity in their performances and music. There is no mold, only bad-ass tunes that are wickedly captivating. They didn't sit still, I couldn't sit still, and the audience couldn't either. We were dancing, jumping and some were

even slam dancing to Johnny Toxics' lyrical madness. He plays lead guitar pulling out some dark and heavy riffs and vocals, with a demonic grumble in his voice. Accompanying him on stand up bass is Phil 'Flipper' Pierre, who's bass looks like its' been drug through the gutters of hell and back again as he engages the audience with his crazy bass dancing antics. Then you have Erwan (R-1) Le Brenner on drums, leading with some seriously sick rhythms with his fast fills and tricky snare work. He is a quick and heavy hitter that won't miss a beat.

On stage you can tell that these guys have an impressive sense of character, time and communication -- All factors that has made them successful in such a competitive industry and will continue to do so.
