Throughout the weekend, there was also ongoing entertainment on stage, which included performances by Benjamin Williams, Natalie Bryson, Ian St Arnaud, Lorna Lampman, Chance Quartet, St. Albert Singers and Mercury Opera. There were activities for the artist in all of us too…step by step painting classes by Red Pepper Painting Parties, and the opportunity to paint a tile as part of the Mural Mosaic 150 project (of which I did happily partake and very much
enjoyed!)
Each time I attend an NOA event, it strikes me that people who do not attend really do not
know what they are missing. This isn’t a stuffy art exhibit, it is a welcoming, enjoyable and
completely family friendly celebration of the arts. I found that time got away from me each of the two days I attended this year because I was so engrossed in the experience of it all.
Phil’s hopes for the future of NOA: “Just watch it grow its audience and to continue to make it more and more successful for artists within the show.”
