A n I nte r v iew wit h Tim Myers Pr esident, E S C O C onst r uction & I ndust r ia l D i v ision 2013 proved to be a year full of change for ESCO as we took the opportunity to re-align the company’s structure around the audience that matters most: our customers. The leadership team identified three critical markets for future success, 1) Construction & Industrial, 2) Mining, 3) Oil & Gas. This shift aligned ESCO’s structure to better serve customers across global markets and helped the company deliver on its commitment to QVS – Quality, Value, Speed. ESCO veteran, Tim Myers, took the reins as President of the Construction & Industrial (C&I) Division. On the cusp of ConExpoCon/Agg, we sat down with Tim to discuss his plans for 2014. Tim Myers Tell us about your background in the industry and your history at ESCO. I have been with ESCO for 28 great years. I am fortunate to have gained important leadership experience through many can’t-miss opportunities: M • anaged operations for the stainless steel processing operation in Hayward, California. • ed the Bucyrus Blades organization, with operations in L Atlacomulco, Mexico; Bucyrus, Ohio; West Jordan, Utah and Steinbach, Canada. • uilt out the Latin American organization from Belo B Horizonte, Brazil. After about 26 years around the globe, I’m back in my hometown at ESCO’s global headquarters in Portland, Oregon. Each opportunity has provided me with incomparable experience across multiple business segments, from steel processing to construction, and mining to industrial products. This journey has also provided me with the opportunity to work with – and build friendships with – cutting-edge customers, dealers, distributors and teammates from many countries and backgrounds. What are your thoughts about ESCO’s new C&I Division and why it was formed last year?
