Dear Reader,
It gives me great pleasure to pen down some notes
in conjunction with the launching of the AIESEC @ UTP newsletter in August 2013. The newsletter is
aimed at improving the communication by AIESEC to non-AIESEC
for the purpose of providing the
right perspectives of the society and
with this newsletter, I hope the constraint faced by the AIESEC @
UTP could be overcome. I have
always encouraged the management
teams of AIESEC to continue attracting membership across nationalities given the multinational and
multicultural societies within UTP.
In my opinion, by having a rich
composition of nationalities within the society, it will help in
educating its member to understand and appreciate the
various values and practices within various
nations which ultimately will help in
developing people with global
perspective..
Throughout the 4 years
since establishment of AIESEC
at UTP, I have seen it growing significantly in many ways. From a
handful of students having noble
vision and working hard to attract
additional members, they have now
attained a commendable number of
membership which comprised of
students from various nations. More
importantly, the fact that they have
undertaken many activities which
have high community values apart
from the ability to engage international people coming from several
countries of the world to participate,
has always amazed me. Whenever I
met them either as individual representing the management team of
AIESEC @ UTP or during their
activities, I constantly wonder on the
high level of enthusiasm depicted by
each of them as if they will be able
to overcome whatever challenges
thrown to them collectively as one.
With such high energy constantly
within them, I have the confidence
that they will all go very far either as
a person or as a society. My hope is
that they will always have the humility and respect of people and continue to reflect on their achievements.
building upon what they
have succeeded today. It is
going to be difficult given that
they too have to give their commitment to their studies but I believe with the spirit and the wisdom
in dividing their time wisely, they will
be able to surprise many people in UTP
with their achievements including me. My
gratitude to UTP management whom have
been very supportive throughout the four
years in providing AISEC @ UTP with most of
their request to undertake their activities. I hope
this will continues and one of these days I believe
the AIESEC @ UTP will repay back with their contribution and achievements in making UTP a brand
for the future.
