Naming Dogs
A girl was visiting her friend, who had acquired two new
dogs, and asked her what their names were.
The friend responded by saying that one was named Rolex and
one was named Timex.
Her friend said, "Whoever heard of someone naming dogs
like that?"
The friend answered. "They're watch dogs!"
Chinese Fu Dog
It is in the most sophisticated and earliest of civilization, China, that the black dog plays its greatest role
in religion, folklore, and mythology.
The "Fu Dog", a recurring theme in Chinese culture,
has the positive attribute of bringing happiness and
good fortune. A great deal of the dog's early domestication took place in ancient China. It is here, too, that
the first pack-hunting dogs were bred.
