SUGAR COOKIE EASY HOT APPLE CIDER RECIPE INGREDIENTS INGREDIENTS 2 COOKIE quarts 100% apple juice 3/4 cup cup brown butter sugar softened 1/2 oz cream cheese 1 8 apple unpeeled and softened cut in half cup sugar 1 1 small naval orange unpeeled/sliced powdered 2 1/2 tsp cup whole cloves sugar egg 2 1 cinnamon sticks 1 tsp extract nutmeg 1/2 tsp almond freshly grated 2 3/4 cup flour 1/2 tsp allspice 1/2 tsp baking Carefully insert powder the whole cloves into the apple on both the flesh and skin sides 1/2 tsp salt juice over medium heat in a large pot Heat apple FROSTING Once heated, add the brown sugar and stir to dissolve. 1/3 cup butter softened Add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a simmer and let simmer for 20 minutes. 4 1/2 cups remove powdered sugar halves, orange slices, cinnamon sticks and any clove Promptly the apple 1/4 cup milk remnants from the pot. Serve hot. 1/2 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp almond extract Food coloring INSTRUCTIONS Preheat oven to 375. Cream butter, cream cheese, sugars, egg and almond in large bowl (or Kitchen-Aid) until fluffy. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Stir until soft dough forms. Roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Thin dough will make crunchy cookies. If you want soft dough, it needs to be about ⅜ in. {NOTE: Try not to handle the dough too much} Bake 8-10 minutes on greased pan. Let cool.
