2013 By Ian Downes

Southern Worthesee, otherwise known as SOWO is a car event that annually takes place in Helen, Georgia a small Bavarian themed town similar to the origin of the Worthersee event in Europe, where Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, and Porsche drivers come together to show off their rides that they take great pride in. Every May thousands of people come to this gathering from all over the United States to show off and appreciate the fine automobiles being displayed. SOWO is a strong reflection of the culture.

The next SOWO gathering will be in the upcoming year, on May 16th through the 19th. This one is supposed to be even better than the last, it will have events such as the “Lowdown Showdown” and the “Blow off Sound off” There will also be a live performance by Detroit Mutant Radio. There has been rumors that a burnout pad will be featured in the upcoming year.

SOWO is a fun event that is enjoyed by thousands of people every year, and it seems to be becoming more and more popular every year, the stance culture is growing more and is more popular than it has ever been and you can see this at SOWO. It gives people a chance to bond over something they love and genuinely care about, cars. In 2014 it can only get better, and there are people already preparing for the major event so they can compete and win in the events featured.
