The $935,000 project represents a critical investment in support of the water company’s commitment to provide customers with safe, reliable water service. PROJECT OVERVIEW Besides the 157,000-gallon tank, work will also include installing 2,400 feet of 12-inch pipeline to connect the new tank to the community’s water system. Once placed into service, the 42-foot high tank will improve water service reliability and fire protection for customers in Cambridge. PIPELINE INSTALLATION Our pipe contractor, Carver Construction, has begun installation of the pipeline and will be completed with this portion of the project by the end of October. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. TANK CONSTRUCTION Our tank contractor, Statewide Aquastore, Inc., will begin to mobilize equipment and work on the tank’s foundation the week of September 21. Weather permitting, erection of the tank will start the week of October 12.
