SALEM – The Salem Majors All Star Team recently took first place in the Whitehall Elks 12U Baseball All Star

SALEM – On Saturday,
July 4 at 4 p.m. a special
flag presentation will take
place at the Salem Railroad
Depot on North Main Street.
State, county, town officials,
singers, and Civil War reenactors, including President
Lincoln, will be present for
the public event. The fireman’s parade will leave at
5 p.m. from Vale Street and
end at the Salem Firemen’s
Carnival Grounds on Archibald Street. Fireworks
will go off at 9 p.m. Look inside for more information about the weekend’s Civil War Concerts at the Salem Community Courthouse on Friday, July 3 at 7:30 p.m. (Providence Brigade Brass Band) and Saturday, July 4 at 1 p.m. (77th Regiment Balladeers).
And not to be missed: Civil War re-enactors camped on the Courthouse property over the July 4 weekend.
