GREENWICH
–
Recently Greenwich
Central
School
students
in
Ms.
Saunders’
FACS
8 classes (Family
and
Consumer
Science) completed
Job Shadows as
part of their Career
Development Unit.
Students spent from
½ day to a full day
shadowing jobs that
they had an interest
in pursuing when
they get older. Job
shadows
ranged
from
physical
therapists to teachers
to veterinarians to
loggers. The students
started investigating
their interests and
aptitudes, and what
might be a good
career for them based
on those interests
and aptitudes. Next
they looked at the
outlook for those
careers in the future
and what education
is required for those
careers.
